In our new online course, taught by world-renowned voice teachers and speech-language pathologists Emily Kristen Morris, Maurice Goodwin, and Gabi Leibowitz, we teach you both the why and the how of vocal health — blending science, practical tools, and real-world application. This is a singer and voice user’s essential survival guide to vocal health!

Here’s what’s inside the course:

1. Introduction video (1 module)

A quick introduction from Emily Kristen Morris!

2. The Anatomy and Physiology of the Voice (1 module)

The basics that every singer and voice user should understand about their vocal anatomy and physiology.

3. Vocal Health Fundamentals – Part 1 (8 modules)

In Part 1, we begin by exploring what it means to be a vocal athlete. From there, we get into the nitty gritty of some key vocal health basics: hydration, environmental variables, acid reflux, medications and their effect on the voice, oral vocal remedies, whispering, and vocal fry.

4. Vocal Health Fundamentals – Part 2 (4 modules)

In Part 2, we explore the concept and practice of vocal budgeting, how to make the call surrounding when/how to sing through sickness, what every singer should know about vocal injuries, and how to assemble a voice care team.

5. Practical Application (4 modules)

This section is all about learning practical tools you can use in your everyday life: how to do laryngeal massage on yourself, how to do straw phonation and other SOVTs, how to build a resonant speaking voice, and how to build an efficient vocal warm-up and cool-down.

6. A Conversation with the Experts (bonus!)

This is a casual, uncut, honest discussion where Emily, Maurice, and Gabi answer common questions straight from singers, teachers, and our EKM community!
